Product and Manufacturing

Is the pattern on the dishes etched or printed?
The pattern is printed on the back of the glass plate using a lead free ink. After it is screen printed, the glass rolls through an oven where it tempers the glass and bakes the print onto the glass.

What does tempering mean?
Tempered glass is physically and thermally stronger than regular glass because of the rapid heating and cooling process it endures during manufacturing. The plates are rolled through an oven, which heats it to more than 1000 degrees Fahrenheit. The heated glass is rapidly cooled causing the surface of the glass to contract faster than the center giving it added strength.

Can I break your dishes?
The short answer is yes, but the tempered glass combined with the silicone makes it much stronger than your average glassware. We like to say it's like a diamond, it has a hardness of 9 but if you take a hammer to it you could probably break it!

How do I wash my Brinware plates?
It is best if the cover is washed and dried separately from the plate. They can go in the dishwasher, best washed on the top rack. While the glass and silicone are very durable the print is best preserved if the glass plates are hand washed.

Where are your product made?
Our products are made in China. We visit our factories on a regular basis to ensure the quality of the product and fair working conditions of the factories. Products are then tested by Bureau Veritas, one of the leading third party testing agencies to ensure quality standards.

Can the products go in the microwave?

Yes, both the glass and the silicone can go in the microwave. Our silicone is food-grade the same quality as bakeware silicone and can withstand heat temperatures up of 440 Fahrenheit.

Orders generally ship between 2-3 business days and are shipped via USPS.

Do you have a return policy?
Yes. If you are unhappy for any reason with an item you receive that was purchased on Brinware.com, you may return it within 60 days and we will refund the price of the product. For returns and other concerns please email info@brinware.com.
